2. Data Privacy & Local File Processing

PDF Pro functions as a local device utility tool. We respect the confidentiality of your documents and files:

• On-Device Processing: All core functions—including merging PDFs, splitting PDFs, compressing PDFs, rotating pages, unlocking/locking PDFs, adding watermarks, page numbering, reordering/deleting pages, converting PDF to image or image to PDF, and image editing (cropping, resizing, compressing)—occur entirely on your local device.
• No Cloud Uploads: Your documents, photos, scans, and converted output files are never uploaded to, transmitted across, or saved on any remote cloud server or external backend system.
• Complete Ownership: You retain complete ownership and control over all original and generated files on your device.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

PDF Pro does not collect, record, harvest, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• We do NOT collect personal identification information (such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or contact list).
• We do NOT collect or store user accounts, passwords, or login credentials.
• We do NOT track your precise geographical location or device GPS data.
• We do NOT collect financial, credit card, or payment transaction details.

4. On-Device OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

PDF Pro offers OCR text recognition functionality to extract text from images or scanned documents.

Text extraction is powered by Google ML Kit On-Device Text Recognition. The machine learning models execute entirely within your device's memory. No image data, extracted text, or document content is transmitted to Google or any third-party cloud server during text recognition.

5. Device Permissions & Purpose

To provide file processing utility, PDF Pro requests access to specific device capabilities:

• Storage & Media Access (Read/Write External Storage / Photos & Media): Required to allow you to select PDF files or photos from your device storage and save the output files back to your device.
• Camera Permission: Optional permission requested only when you choose to take a picture or scan a document directly within the app for image conversion or OCR text extraction.

Permissions are utilized strictly to execute the actions you explicitly trigger. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device system settings.

6. Data Storage & Deletion

All generated PDFs, images, and saved documents are stored locally in your device's storage. You can access, share, move, or permanently delete these files at any time using your preferred file manager app or within PDF Pro.

Uninstalling the PDF Pro application will remove any temporary cache files managed by the OS. Files saved to your device's main document storage will remain on your device until you manually delete them.

7. Opening & Sharing Files

PDF Pro integrates with standard mobile operating system sharing mechanisms (such as Android Intent system dialogs). When you choose to open a PDF in an external viewer app or share a converted document via email or messaging apps, the file transfer is handled entirely by your operating system according to your selection.

8. Third-Party Services, Analytics & Ads

We believe in clean utility software without intrusive tracking:

• No Analytics: PDF Pro does not include third-party user behavior tracking, crash analytics, or usage telemetry software.
• No Advertisements: PDF Pro contains no third-party ad networks, tracking SDKs, or promotional banners.
• In-App Store Review: The app utilizes the standard Google Play In-App Review API to allow users to optionally rate the app on the Google Play Store. This interaction is handled securely by Google Play Services.

9. Children's Privacy

PDF Pro does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted by the application, PDF Pro is safe for users of all ages.

10. Security

Because all file processing and document creation occur locally on your device without network transmission, your document security depends directly on your device's native operating system protections (such as device passcode, biometric lock, and local storage encryption). We advise keeping your mobile device OS updated with the latest security patches.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements or application features. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
